Nearly 11 years ago, LPGA golfer Cathy Johnston-Forbes loaned her name and celebrity to the organization's first golf outing in the Wilmington area. The tournament has grown each year, rapidly becoming one of the most exclusive tournaments in eastern North Carolina. In 2006, the tournament reached a maximum capacity of 36 teams and was forced to turn away interested teams.
This year, we celebrate the eleventh anniversary of our Cathy
Johnston-Forbes golf tournament - the largest fundraising event in
the Eastern region. Last year, the tournament raised a record
$30,000 to help local children and adults. We need your help to make
this event a success again in 2010! The event will be held September
24, 2010 at the famed River Landing course in Wallace, N.C.
Where the money goes:
Easter Seals UCP's programs in eastern North Carolina which include preschool, developmental education and therapy, residential services, supported employment and training, respite care, foster care services and family support.
